DO YOU OFFER A COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION?

Yes. I offer an initial complimentary phone consultation to answer any questions you have and discuss the scope of your project. Our first on-site or in-person appointment is billed at the same hourly rate as all other work.

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?

Because every project is unique and varies greatly in scope, my design fees are based on an hourly rate of $100/hr. I also charge the standard mileage rate for any travel that exceeds 25 miles from Fergus Falls.

Though a financial investment, the fees are a small fraction of the overall project cost and will help you achieve a well-designed, beautiful space while avoiding costly mistakes.

DO YOU WORK ON PROJECTS OUTSIDE YOUR IMMEDIATE AREA?

We will achieve the best result if I can spend time in-person and on-site, however I’m open to virtual design sessions if your project is not in the Otter Tail County, MN area.

DO YOU HAVE CONTRACTORS THAT YOU WORK WITH OR RECOMMEND?

Yes. While I’m not a general contractor, there are several local contractors and sub-contractors that I’ve worked with repeatedly over the years that I would highly recommend. Otherwise, I’m happy to work with the contractor(s) of your choosing.

WHAT’S YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?

My personal style is clean, modern, and minimalist. I feel most at home designing spaces in the modern, Scandinavian, cottage, farmhouse, cabin, mountain modern style. That being said, I want to work with you to design a space that reflects your personal style and taste.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED AN ARCHITECT OR A DESIGNER?

It all depends on the scope of your project. Your project may need an architect, a structural engineer, and a designer. We each bring our specialty and expertise to the project. However, not all projects warrant the need for a professional architect or engineer.
