This property is set on five acres on the Otter Tail River. It was our first new build and we wanted it to look anything but builder grade or even brand new for that matter. We chose a cottage coastal style design. We paid attention to details like the the stool and apron on the window trim giving it that ‘something special’. Unique touches were added such as cast iron tubs, walk-in showers with classic tiling, bead board on the walls in the bathrooms. It was sided with cedar board and batten, cedar shakes and lap siding. For our first project as a young couple in our late twenties, and no professional design help, we are proud of how it came together. We learned a lot that we took with us to future projects.
